Introduction:
All It Takes Is Following
A Simple Strategy Success Formula
That's Proven To Work Every TimeIt Is
Used
Over and over and
over again, I am asked the same question.
Folks send me dozens
of emails. I get phone calls. During interview after interview it comes up. Whenever it comes to conversation
about my internet business, I always get asked one question above everything else.
And that question
is...
..."How did you
become so successful, so fast?"
Anytime you go from
a complete unknown to one of the most respected and trusted web marketing consultants in less than a year, folks
want to know...
..."how?"
How did you do
it?
While there are a
lot of pieces to the puzzle, it all boils down to three strategies that I observed in my research of what other
successful people were doing.
You have in your
hands the 3 strategies that I personally applied to go from a zero to a hero. IF -- and don't let that small
word fool you, it's a BIG key -- IF you apply these same 3 strategies, then I *guarantee* you will find similar
success.
No doubt about
it.
And the reason that
I say this is for a couple of reasons...
First, I have never known ANY "Incredibly" successful netrepreneur who doesn't apply
these strategies. They are UNIVERSAL. I've done my research. What
worked for me is the exact same system that has worked for ALL "Incredibly" successful e Business owners. There
are no exclusions here. This isn't a system that works only for a few.
It is a system that works for
every single person who uses it, AND it's a system that every single successful person online has used, whether
they realize it or not.
Secondly, ANYONE can use it. I've looked at
hundreds of success stories online. And these folks come from all different walks of life. Some are highly
educated. Others are high school dropouts. Some are very creative. Others don't have a creative bone in their
body. Some folks had a lot of money to invest. Others were headed for the poor
house.
ANYONE can use what I am about
to share and find real success online. It doesn't matter what your qualifications are, or your skills or your
resources. It just matters that you have a desire to follow-through on what I am about to share with
you.
So, this one's for
you.
Really. It is. Get
that in your head from the beginning. I didn't write this for your neighbor or the local physician in your
hometown. It wasn't written for someone in another country or from another planet.
I wrote this for YOU
my friend.
If you Follow these
three simple strategies they will lead you to success.
I did. And I went
from being completely broke and $30,000 in credit card debt, to earning a huge six-figure income online every
year. I earned more this past year than I have earned in my entire life combined.
And I did it by
following the strategies that you are about to read. And so did every other successful person on the
internet.
So, add your name to
the list, OK?
---------------- Sidebar ----------------- Just one more important note before
we dive in. My success -- even though it is based upon what I am going to share with you --
comes solely from God above. I would be lying to you if I told you that I was a "master of my own
destiny." Because, I'm not. My relationship with Jesus Christ is my ultimate success story and I believe that
my success online is directly related to His blessing upon my life. ---------------- Sidebar -----------------
Having said all of
that, let's analyze the three universal, unchanging eBusiness strategies that spell
S-U-C-C-E-S-S.
..........................................................................................................
Strategy One: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs "Borrow" Ideas
From Others
King Solomon said it
best "there's nothing new under the sun."
Ideas are as old as
time. And they keep resurfacing over and over again. The methodologies and formats and manifestations have
changed...
...but the basic
reasons why success is what it is, has never changed.
While some
Incredibly successful entrepreneurs were indeed pioneers in bringing new previously unseen tools and resources
and techniques to us, the overwhelming majority are nothing but good, old-fashioned......copycats.
:o)
Don't misunderstand.
That's not a bad thing. "Borrowing" ideas from others only makes good sense. Do you think Ray Kroc was the first
guy who ever flipped a hamburger? And yet McDonald's has become an icon in fast food because of the
burger.
Was Bill Gates the
first guy to ever write software code? No, he just perfected it. Well, not on my computer -- darn thing keeps
crashing! But, nonetheless, he brought an existing idea into prominence. It wasn't his idea, he just "borrowed"
it, injected it with steroids and mass-produced it like never before.
Who created the
first eBook online? I don't have a clue -- but I know I create new ones every month. The eBook wasn't my
invention -- I just borrowed it from someone who came along before me.
Learn this truth,
this strategy from the beginning, "Incredibly successful netrepreneurs 'borrow' ideas from others." Most aren't
inventors or innovators, they are duplicators.
Now, let me make one thing clear before
we inch a step further. "Borrowing" IDEAS is not stealing something from someone
else.
Deciding you are
going to write an eBook on web marketing is "borrowing" an idea from someone else. Copying an existing eBook and
using it as your own is "stealing" from someone else.
Developing your own
search engine submission software is "borrowing" an existing IDEA. Swiping the source code of someone else's
software and repackaging it as your own is theft.
So, please don't
misunderstand. Incredibly successful netrepreneurs don't steal, but rather they "borrow." They model their own
project after someone else's IDEA or STYLE or FUNCTION or FEATURE or PURPOSE. They create original products from
unoriginal ideas.
Also you can't
copyright FACTS. You can collect or learn all the Facts on any subject and write your own articles and
books.
Clear?
When I first created
my first product, I didn't have a clue as to how to write the sales letter for it. I was a newbie. I had zero
background in writing ad copy. I new nothing. So, I went looking around. And I studied many other existing sales
letters for related products.
Recommended Products
And I knew two
things without a doubt. First, that I would have to buy a copy of this incredible package because it shared
everything I need to know about doing business online! Secondly, I knew that I would be studying that sales
letter and modeling my own after it.
It was so
compelling. I read it and re-read it and analyzed what worked about it and why it made me want to buy and why I
never got bored as I read it. I picked it apart and wrote down what I felt was most important about its
presentation. I noted the language and the illustrations and the call to action.
And, I "borrowed"
the STYLE of Terry's ad copy for my own sales letter. All of the things that I found most compelling, I included
in my own sales letter -- things like prominently displayed headlines, testimonials and bulleted lists of
benefits. None of them were word-for-word, of course, because I was offering a different product altogether. I
just modeled the format of my sales letter after his sales letter.
What I found to be
convincing and important in his ad copy, I interjected into my own. I "borrowed" his idea and created a
completely new sales letter. I created an original sales letter from an unoriginal
style.
And I'll let you in
on a little secret. Terry Dean didn't develop his sales letter from scratch either. He studied folks like Dan
Kennedy and Jay Conrad Levinson and other direct marketing folks and modeled his ad copy off of their successful
sales letters. And Kennedy and Levinson learned from their predecessors.
See what I mean when
I say King Solomon said it best, "there's nothing new under the sun"?
Incredibly
successful netrepreneurs "borrow" ideas from others.
So, the first thing
you want to do to be truly successful online is to do the same. Study those online who are already successful
and do what they are doing. Model your business after theirs. Follow their lead. When you see something working,
try it yourself.
You don't have to be a pioneer to be successful. You just need to follow a winner
and implement the same ideas, strategies, styles, functions, features and purposes in your own original way.
Motivational speaker Anthony Robbins once said, “If you want
to be successful, find someone who achieved the results you want and copy what they do, and you’ll achieve the
same results.”
That's exactly what
you want to do.
So, what KINDS of
things can you "borrow" from others? There are six "ideas" you can borrow from others that I want to share with
you...
..........................................................................................................
Strategy One: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs "Borrow" Ideas
From Others
1.1 Sales letter Secrets.
I've already shared this a bit earlier in my example of how I wrote the my first sales letter by studying
All The Secrets
ad copy. So, what's stopping you from doing the
same?
Sure, there are some great courses on writing sales letters that are worth every
penny, like Turning Browsers Into
Buyers . And I would recommend that you grab
a copy of it, simply because it walks you through the sales letter process,
step-by-step.
But, never substitute someone else's knowledge for your own research. You never
learn something as well as you do when you are involved in hands-on training. So, grab a copy of
Turning Browsers Into Buyers and Profit Pulling
Offers, but more importantly than
that...
...do your
research.
Examine other folks
sales letters. Find your industry leaders, those who are already successful and analyze their sales letters.
Pick apart that ad copy and determine...
1.1.1 How are they using
headlines?
1.1.2 How long was the sales letter?
1.1.3 What kind of language is it written in? (I.E. Compelling words / phrases)
1.1.4 What kind of format is being used? (Bullet lists, indentation, bold & italic)
1.1.5 What is the opening sentence? Did it pull you into the letter? Why?
1.1.6 How do they keep your attention as you read the sales letter?
1.1.7 Do they use testimonials? How many? Where? Are they effective?
1.1.8 How easy or hard is it to order?
1.1.9 What kind of call to action is there? Is there a deadline?
1.1.10 What about the offer makes you want to buy, or not buy?
1.1.11 Is there any point that it gets boring? Why? How can you fix?
1.1.12 Is there a way to capture your email address? How?
1.1.13 Is there any research or statistics to support their position?
1.1.14 What makes the sales letter compelling to you? What could be better?
Analyze those sales
letters. Pick them apart. Find out what works and then implement those "ideas" into your own sales
letter.
Now, let me give you another quick suggestion. You may be thinking "But, I don't
havea product
that I'm selling online. I don't need a sales
letter, I'm just promoting affiliate programs."
So?
You can STILL use
this same concept in developing a webpage. Go to your favorite search engine and do a search for whatever
affiliate program you are promoting. If the affiliate program you are involved in has been around for more than
90 days, you should find a lot of entries in the search listings.
Visit those sites
and find out how they are promoting the affiliate program on their webpage. Again, "borrow" their
ideas...
1.1.15 Are they offering
an incentive if you purchase through their link?
1.1.16 Are they using a popup window to promote the program?
1.1.17 What ways do you see they are actively promoting the program?
1.1.18 How is their webpage designed? Is it focused on one program?
1.1.19 Are they using any strategies to presell visitors on the AP product?
1.1.20 Are they giving away a freebie to promote the product? (report/ebook)
See what I mean?
Find the top ranked affiliate sites and create your own webpage based on the strategies they are
using.
What about "mini-sites" that are created solely to promote affiliate programs? If
you are unfamiliar with the term, then I highly recommend you Make Money With Walt's Highly Recommended Products. It's THE most informative list available on products to promote affiliate
programs. If a product that matches your needs is in the list then we have checked it out and it's worth the
small cost. Remember, if you don't like a product then ask for your money
back.
But, the same idea
applies here. Use your search engines and find "mini-sites" that are promoting affiliate programs and follow the
lead of the good ones.
What
else?
How about their "ad
copy"...
..........................................................................................................
Strategy One: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs "Borrow" Ideas
From Others
1.2 Ad Copy Tactics.
Here's one that you can use regardless of whether you're promoting your own product or an affiliate program.
Look at others and see how their advertising is written. Analyze the classified ads in their ezines. Check out
their solo mailing ads and examine them to see how they are advertising. Look at their banner ads, how are they
worded and designed.
What you want to do
is examine the actual advertising that other successful folks are using and model your own ads after theirs. Not
word for word, mind you, just in format.
For example: You
take a look at a successful netrepreneur's solo mailing for a product and see how they are using it to get
people to respond...
1.2.1 Do they use their
advertising to promote an offer or a lead generator?
1.2.2 Are their ads short or long in length? Why?
1.2.3 How are they using headlines to grab the attention?
1.2.4 Are they sending leads to a webpage or an autoresponder? Why?
1.2.5 Do they use an obvious affiliate link or a "cloaked" redirect link?
1.2.6 Are they using the same affiliate ad everyone else uses?
1.2.7 Are they targeting an audience in their ads? I.E. Seniors, homemakers,
1.2.8 Do you spot any specific language words that are effective? Stop...
1.2.9 Are there any limits and / or deadlines in their ads? How are they used?
1.2.10 What kind of special tools are they using? Questions? Testimonials? Stats?
1.2.11 What about their advertising is appealing to you? Why?
Get inside their
heads and look at why they are doing what they are doing. What is the purpose? Where does it lead? How does the
entire advertising system work to produce sales. Analyze it step-by-step.
If you are
advertising your own product, then find someone who is successfully selling something similar and spend some
time researching their ads. Model their success formula, don't try to create a new one. Go with what is proven
to work. You'll save yourself a lot of trial and error by mimicking an already effective
ad.
Note: You can
create your own money-making reports or eBooks in days

If you are marketing
an affiliate link, then look to other affiliates in the same program. Find out where they are advertising and
examine their ads -- are they the standard ad that was issued by the affiliate program, or are they 100%
original, with a completely different angle?
Look at existing ads
that were successful and model your own after them.
Let me give you some
examples. If you go to your favorite search engine and search for "best headlines" or "headline examples" you'll
find some free listings of some of the most successful ad headlines of all time. You can easily use them as
templates to create your own. Here are a few that I found...

And what about their
products? Let's find out...

Strategy One: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs "Borrow" Ideas

1.3 Product Creation Models. When I first came online, I had no idea what kind of product I wanted to
create. I knew I needed my own product, everywhere I turned someone was telling me
that.
But, I was at a loss
as to what it should be.
Until I realized
that I didn't need to create the gizmo that had never been created before. It hit me one day that I didn't need
to develop a widget that no one else had in order to be successful. I needed to find out what folks want and
deliver it to them.
Now, what do other folks want? I didn't know. But, I did know that there were
some key folks online who were making a very good living at the time. I saw that Allen Says of the Warriors
was selling memberships all over the Internet. I saw the name
Ken Evoy
over and over.
Make Money With Walt's Highly Recommended
Products
So, what did I do? I
looked at what they were creating -- the kinds of products and services they were offering, and I created my own
product based on the same concepts.
And here's what Allen himself said in a recent interview with Bryan Kumar
in Money and Power sign up here regarding membership sites...
"It was, and still is a
great angle. There's a ton of competition out now though with secret sites of all types, but it's still possible
to make great money at it. All you have to do is be different in some way and you can do it. Jimmy Brown proved
that when he created Profits Vault. He came at a time when most would have thought I had the market cornered but
he started up and makes a great living at it to this day."
See how this works?
Anyone can do it -- you just gotta "borrow" ideas.
Overture was the first real successful pay-per-click search engine. I remember at one
time going over to http://www.payperclicksearchengines.com
, which is a directory of PPC engines, and there were 15 engines
listed, with Overture leading the way. They were goto.com at that time. I checked a few weeks ago and there
were over 375 PPC search engines listed in that same directory!
What happened? Folks
saw a successful service and they modeled their own after it. They "borrowed" the idea of the product and
created their own original offering based upon the concept of a PPC search engine.
And many of them
have become successful in their own right because of it.
However today one of
the best ways to advertise is on FaceBook. You can use pictures, it's cheaper, they now have more traffic than
Google and they are much easier to deal with. Google PPC can be a pain and they cancel ads for no reason. You
can be more creative on FaceBook and save. Oh, and you can TARGET your ads.
Find out who is
successful online in your industry. And analyze their product and service lineup...
1.3.1 What kinds of
products and services are they offering?
1.3.2 How are they delivered? I.E. What format?
1.3.3 How much are they charging for their products and services?
1.3.4 Are they offering bonuses? If so, how many and what kind?
1.3.5 Are they original products, or can they be created by a programmer?
1.3.6 Are they updating the product regularly? How?
1.3.7 Are they offering reprint rights or customization right? How much?
1.3.8 If it's an infoproduct, what style is it written in? FAQ, tutorial, articles?
1.3.9 How long is the product? Illustrated?
1.3.10 How is the product designed?
Find out who is
successful and "borrow" ideas from them. Look at what they are selling and create your own product based upon
the "idea" of theirs.
And then move on to
the next thing to study...
..........................................................................................................
Strategy One: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs "Borrow" Ideas
From Others
1.4 List Building Strategies. It's no big secret that building an opt-in email list is one of the most
critical things you can do online in order to be successful. So, how can you build your
list?
By using the same
strategies, tools and resources that other successful list-builders use!
So, do your
research. Find folks within your industry who have large opt-in lists and see how they built them. I mean go
behind the scenes and see exactly what they are doing to build their lists...
1.4.1 Are they using a
popup window to capture leads?
1.4.2 Do they offer incentives to anyone joining their lists?
1.3.3 Are they participating in any ezine ad swaps to build their lists?
1.3.4 How many different places at their website can you find references to joining their lists? What are they --
how are they used?
1.3.5 Do they use a javascript alert window to capture email addresses?
1.3.6 Do they have a form for subscribing? If so, where?
1.3.7 Are they buying subscribers from a co-registration service?
Basically, you want
to look at your competition and see how they are building their lists. If you find someone who has a large list,
then follow their model. Do what they do (as long as it is legal and moral, of course) and you should see
similar results.
And don't be afraid
to contact them and ask. "Hey Bob, I've noticed that you have a super successful ezine with over 25,000
subscribers. I'm just getting started. Can you let me know what you've done to build your list so
successfully?"
You'll find that
many folks will give you a few helpful tips by just asking them.
And SUBSCRIBE to
their lists -- and see how they are using them! How are they promoting to their lists? What are they selling?
Are they offering free stuff -- do they profit from those freebies on the "back-end".
Join every
newsletter they have, every eCourse, request every free report. Study their list-building, and how they use
their lists. And follow their lead.
But don't stop
there...
Take the Vacations you
dreamed of without working so hard.
..........................................................................................................
Strategy One: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs "Borrow" Ideas
From Others
1.5 Marketing Techniques.
This is one of my favorite things to "borrow" from others. I love to watch what other folks are doing to market
their business or to market an affiliate link. I look for ways that other people successfully
market...
...and I don't waste
any time implementing it in my own business.
Think about it.
Wouldn't you much rather promote your product or affiliate program in a way that others have found to be
successful, instead of crossing your fingers and hoping you get it right?
I'll be honest with
you. I don't like to waste time or money. So, instead of playing the trial and error game, I just follow the
success trail of other folks.
And I recommend that
you do too. Find a leader in your industry and watch their marketing. See what they do to promote their product
or service. This one is so easy to do because it's so obvious what they do -- if you just take the time to
examine their marketing model...
1.5.1 Do they publish an
ezine? How often? What does it consist of?
1.5.2 Where are they purchasing advertising? Banners - ezines - PPC
1.5.3 How are they using search engines? What keywords are they ranking?
1.5.4 How often do they send out solo mailings? What do they consist of?
1.5.5 Do they participate in joint ventures? What kind? How are they structured?
1.5.6 Do they create viral marketing tools like free eBooks and eCourses? How are they designed? What do they
consist of?
1.5.7 Do they write and distribute ezine articles? Who publishes them? Are they datased in one of the ezine content
directories? HINT: Make a list and do the same!
1.5.8 Are they active in forums or newsgroups? Which ones? What do they do when participating in discussions?
1.5.9 Which sites are linking to their site? HINT: Maybe you can convince those same sites to link to you!
1.5.10 Do they have an affiliate program? How is it structured? Who is involved in it?
1.5.11 Do they use testimonials? If so, who is raving over their product or service? Will they endorse yours?!
1.5.12 Do they use follow-up marketing with autoresponders? Analyze them!
1.5.13 Do they use any traffic-generation tools such as Startblaze?
1.5.14 What traffic tools and resources do they endorse? HINT: If they use them and recommend them, they probably
work.
Folks, there is no
need to spend a lot of money trying to determine what works. The biggest investment that you’ll ever need to
make is your time. If you are in this for the long haul, then why not spend a few extra days researching what
works from the beginning?
Look at what
successful web marketers are doing to promote their businesses and follow them like a tourist follows a
guide.
And see who's
selling for them...

Strategy One: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs "Borrow" Ideas

1.6 Affiliate Methods.
The final type of "idea" you should borrow from other successful netrepreneurs is "affiliate methods." And what
I mean by that is basically two-fold. First, do they have an affiliate program -- and, if they do, how are the
using it? Secondly, are they promoting other affiliate programs? If so, which
ones?
Now, here's why this
can be very important to YOUR success.
First, let's look at
your own affiliate program. Do you have one? If you offer a product or service, then you need one. So, find a
successful affiliate program and offer what it offers...
1.6.1 How often are
affiliates paid? How much are they paid?
1.6.2 Is the program 1-tier or multi-tier? Why?
1.6.3 What kind of affiliate tracking isused for the affiliate program?
1.6.4 What affiliate marketing materials are provided?
1.6.5 Does the program have an affiliate training manual? What's in it?
1.6.6 Is there a regular affiliate training newsletter published? What's in it?
1.6.7 Who are the affiliates? Would they be interested in joining your program?
1.6.8 Any "super affiliates" in that group? Approach them first.
1.6.9 Where are the affiliate links being advertised?
1.6.10 How is the owner recruiting new affiliates?
Basically, find a
successful affiliate program and implement the same kind of strategies they are using. No need to reinvent the
wheel here. Just find what is working and do it yourself.
The second affiliate
method that I want to encourage you to model is to examine what affiliate programs other successful folks are
promoting. For example: If you see Walter D. Minton recommending a product or service, then there must be a very
good reason why. And that reason why could very well be your ticket to success.
If a successful
netrepreneur in your field is actively promoting an affiliate program -- especially if they continue to promote
it -- then there is a good indication that it is worthwhile for you to promote it at as
well.
So, do your
research...
1.6.11 What affiliate
programs are they involved in?
1.6.12 How are they promoting the program?
So, there you have
six ways you can "borrow" ideas from other successful web marketers to create your own
success.
Remember the
strategy: Incredibly successful netrepreneurs "borrow" ideas from others.
You know, even
today, as successful as I have become, I am constantly watching other leaders in web marketing to see what they
are doing. I read ezines. I watch websites. I browse the forums. I analyze my competition and examine closely
the methodologies of other successful netrepreneurs.
And when I see
something that works, I implement it into my own business.
Online, it's very
inexpensive -- usually free -- to research what works and what doesn't by simply monitoring other successful
case studies. It just doesn't make sense to me for you to spend thousands wastefully on things that don't work,
when all you really need to do is keep a watchful eye on those at the top.
And when they do, it
won't be long until other folks are keeping an eye on you at the top!
Incredibly
successful netrepreneurs "borrow" ideas from others.
But, that's just the
first of the three strategies. Let's take a look at strategy number two for becoming Incredibly successful
online...
..................................................................................................
Strategy Two: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs Add Their Own
Unique Approach
While Incredibly
successful netrepreneurs "borrow" ideas from others, they don't stop there. They then add the next ingredient to
the success mixture by adding their own unique approach.
Write this down:
Incredibly successful netrepreneurs add their own unique approach. Strategy #2 is "Incredibly successful
netrepreneurs add their own unique approach.
That is, those who
are Incredibly successful online borrow ideas from others and then change them so significantly that they have a
new, unique way of doing things. They use the same idea, but add to that idea to create their own unique
offering.
Let me give you a
few examples just from the product and services category (just as a side note, the majority of examples that
I'll be offering in this section have to do with products and services, but can easily be applied to just about
anything you do online in your eBusiness)...
Affiliate Programs. Affiliate programs have been around for some time. Amazon.com was one of the
first, if not the first, to offer commissions to individuals who refer customers. Ken Evoy came along and
"borrowed" the idea of an affiliate program for his Sitesell.com products. That is, he used an existing idea of paying affiliates for referred
customers, BUT he added his own unique approach to the mix. Ken offers LIFETIME commissions, something only a
handful of folks are doing at this time, and I believe Ken was the first to offer. When you refer a customer
to the Sitesell.com system, they are your referral for life. If they EVER return to the site and
buy any product -- regardless of who sent them back there -- you will receive the commission as the original
referring affiliate. Old idea -- new unique approach.
Search Engines.
Search engines have been around in one format or another since the dawn of the Internet. Folks like Yahoo.com
made them famous. When Goto.com came along -- which is now Overture.com -- there were already thousands of
search engines and directories online. What would make them different? They decided to offer a search engine
with their own unique approach -- a pay-per-click search engine. Advertisers pay Overture.com a predetermined
fee anytime someone clicks on their listing. Again, Overture.com added their own unique approach to an existing
idea of search engines.
Autoresponders.
Autoresponder scripts have been around for a long, long time as well. Originally, they were known as autobots or
mailbots. Then, Aweber.com came
along and took the autoresponder service to the next level. They focus on deliverability and have become the
#1 autoresponder on the net.
SecretProfitsNow is
a new product that helps with the hard parts. I'm kinda busy sometimes and this can be setup
quickly.
Paid Newsletters.
Paid monthly newsletters have been around offline for decades. They are sold for topics ranging from golf tips
to investment strategies. Nothing new about that idea. Over the years, dozens of folks have created their own
paid monthly newsletter. Or, they did like Terry Dean did -- took the idea of a paid monthly newsletter and
transferred that into a paid monthly membership site.
eBooks. eBooks
have been extremely popular for many of years now. They remain one of the good-selling products available on the
web but not as good as it once was. The problem for most folks was the fact that theydidn't know how to create their own eBook in
order to sell online. One way to do this is to use good PLR or Private Label Rights eBooks in your Niche and
change them up a bit. Change the title and add you own twist and knowledge to the mix and product a top-notch
product.
Do you understand
how this concept works now? It *really* is an ingenious way to create your own success. Find other ideas that
work, and make them better. Improve them by injecting your own unique approach. Change them and re-create them
into something completely new and original.
Incredibly
successful netrepreneurs add their own unique approach.
Now, that begs the
question -- how can I add my own unique approach to an existing idea?
There are five
methods of adding to and improving an existing idea that I want to share with you that anyone can use if they
just put the 'ol thinking cap on...
..........................................................................................................
Strategy Two: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs Add Their Own
Unique Approach
2.1 Unique functionality.
The first original concept you can add to an existing idea is your own unique functionality. That is, you add
features that aren't currently available or your improve features to make them even
better.
So, that's the first
thing you want to do -- develop your own unique features, your own unique function, your own unique way of doing
things...
If you create software or have someone create it for
you(Elance.comis a great place to have vendors create software for
you)..
-
What
features are not currently available in existing software?
-
What
features could be tweaked and made better?
-
Is it
possible to extract portions of an intensive software that experts use to make a simpler version that
beginners who only need the basics can easily use?
-
Is there a
need for a software that hasn't even been created yet?
-
Is there a
software that does everything except for one or two new things that would make it so much
better?
-
Is there a
way to make an existing software easier to use?
-
Is there an
existing software idea that is not cross-platform compatible? Could a similar software be created in a
Mac friendly version?
-
Is there
something about an existing software or tool that could be developed into a different tool
completely?
If you create
eBooks...
-
How can you
make them different than other eBooks? Tom Hua put together a unique package. Both he and I sell new
eBooks every month. Those are different, unique approaches. How can you be
different?
-
How can you
take the existing idea of selling eBooks and make it uniquely your approach?
-
How about
using a niche? Is there a niche that is large enough to support new eBooks that you can cater to? Even
if you stay within the web marketing industry, you can still use a niche. How about Christian web
marketing? Or, web marketing for newbies? Are you a stay-at-home mom -- how about structuring your
eBooks toward other homemakers? Senior citizen? Show other seniors how to sell on the web. Focus on a
niche.
-
How about
repackaging an eBook collection for that niche? For example: rewrite the sales letter and focus the ad
copy towards specific references that apply to your niche. I.E. Moms, here is something you can do to
earn extra money while your toddler is taking her afternoon nap.
-
Is there
something extra you can add to the collection to make it more niche friendly? I.E. You're focusing on
newbies -- how about creating a short guide to answering their most asked questions like how can I
upload these files, who will process my orders, how do I create an order link,
etc.
-
What kind of
eBook hasn't been written that you see a need for, or folks are asking for? Write
it!
-
What can you
do for eBooks that isn't being done right now, or that few folks are doing?
-
How about
putting together a customizable eBook directory? A searchable database of eBooks that can be customized
with affiliate links. A place where eBook creators can submit their eBooks and visitors can search the
database and download what they want to customize.
-
How about a
website that reviews paid eBooks. Give honest opinions on eBooks and then use your affiliate link in the
review. HINT: You should be able to get a free copy of just about any eBook online you want once you get
your site up and running. Folks will be glad to have a favorable review in your
database.
-
How about audio eBooks? With more and more folks gaining high-speed
access to the web, audio eBooks should become more and more popular. Get in on the ground floor before
everyone else does.
I mean, you can
apply unique functionality and features to just about any existing idea: take software, eBooks, affiliate
programs, advertising, sales letters, joint ventures -- any of those existing ideas and make it better than
before.
A classic example of this in action is what Armand Morin did. Armand noticed an
existing market for eBook cover art. And he saw the two options that awaited folks who wanted to create an
eBook cover art graphic...
Option A was to hire a
professional designer to create the graphic for you. This gave you a quality graphic, but it commanded a quality
price tag for the service. Not everyone has $99.00 to shell out for each new eBook cover they have
developed.
Option B was to use a
tutorial and a set of templates to create your own. There are dozens of different template sets and tutorials
available for you to follow simple instructions and do-it-yourself. Definitely affordable, but the quality of
the graphics seldom comes out as well as you would want. And, some folks find it difficult to follow the
instructions.
So, what did Armand do? He developed a software program, eCover Generator, that is
extremely user-friendly and creates high-quality images for eBook covers. He took an existing idea and added his
own unique approach to create a software program that was unavailable anywhere
else.
It's been endorsed
by some of the biggest names in the business and continues to be a nice seller for my
buddy.
So, a unique
functionality - unique features -- is one way to add your own unique approach to an existing idea. That's one
thing you'll want to do.
But, there are more
ways to add your own unique way of doing things...
SecretProfitsNow is a new product that helps with the hard
parts.
..........................................................................................................
Strategy Two: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs Add Their Own
Unique Approach
2.2 Unique price. The
next unique approach is to offer a unique price. And what I mean by unique price is not necessarily just
offering a wholesale price. Wholesale pricing has gotten a bit ridiculous as of late. I mean, when you can buy
100 eBooks for $9.97, how valuable can they be?
Unique price doesn't
necessarily mean offering it cheaper than your competition, although that is one aspect of unique pricing.
Unique price to me also means a unique presentation of that price. Let me say that again. Unique price means a
unique presentation of that price.
Let me give you a
few examples...
Example 1: Price Percentage. Take an existing idea and add a unique price by altering the presentation of
that price. That is creating a unique presentation of the price by stressing a percentage. The price doesn't
change, but the presentation does -- and it appears something different than others who might be offering it at
the exact same price.
Example 2: Price Breakdown. You could purchase an ebook collection. Then add a few of your own freebie eBooks
into the mix, rewrite the sales letter and retitle the product. Nick Adams did this a few years ago with "$1.75
Buys Reprint Rights To A Hot-Selling eBook."The price was $34.95, but the pricing presentation was that it's only
$1.75 to buy a reprint rights license to a product. Of course, the sales letter explained clearly that you must buy
all 20 of them at the same time in order to get the price. Unique price and it was great for advertising. This is
"price breakdown." You provide a unit price presentation.
Example 3: Price Inflation. Jimmy Brown decided to offer some of his products with master reprint rights.
Meaning, anyone who purchased the product could sell the product and authorize others to do the same. Now, his
intention all along was to include free master reprint rights with every purchase. But, he also stressed that in
his offer. This actually inflates the value of your price. Watch this. Which sounds like it is more. "Profit
Pulling Reports is yours for only $19.97" or "Profit Pulling Reports is yours for only $19.97 and includes a FREE
$97.00 master reprint rights license" ? The price tag didn't change in either of them, but the offer is inflated in
the second presentation of the price. The idea is to stress the value of the offer itself, not just the price.
Instead of discounting your price, you raise the value of the offer.
Example 4: Price Equivalent. One more example. I refer to this presentation of price as the "price equivalent".
The idea is to compare the price of your offer with something of similar price that is trivial and insignificant.
Here are some examples...
For less than the price of
a large pizza, you can learn how to double your list.
If you can give up one
trip to McDonald's each month, then you can own your very own internet business.
That's the price of a cup
of coffee each day -- and this doesn't have caffeine or calories, but it will automate your
marketing.
Good grief, you probably
spend more on magazines that you never read.
See what I mean? You
equate the price of your offer with something that the reader is perhaps wastefully spending money on, or could
easily cut back on, or can see how lasting and important your offer is in comparison to spending money on
something that ends and is insignificant.
Again, in each of
these examples, the idea is to add your own unique approach to an existing idea. Your price can be the exact
same price as your competition and you can outsell them by a landslide simply because you present the price in
your own unique way.
But, that's just the
beginning. There's much more...
..........................................................................................................
Strategy Two: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs Add Their Own
Unique Approach
2.3 Unique benefits. Another way to offer your own unique approach to an existing idea is to create
your own unique benefits. That is, you offer something that no one else is offering. Again, I'll give you some
examples.
When Allen Says started
offering eBooks that you could give away, this wasn't a new idea. eBooks were already becoming a fairly
mainstream part of the online game. And, many folks allowed you to give away their eBooks when you downloaded
them. That was, after all, one of the key ways to generate sales -- by placing offers inside the eBooks and
having other folks give the eBooks away to their contacts.
But, Allen did something
new. Allen setup some of the very first, if not the first, customizable eBooks. Allen allowed folks to give away
three of his eBooks -- BUT, in addition to that, he added a new benefit of customization. Allen allowed you to
join his affiliate program and insert your affiliate link into the eBooks before you began giving them away.
Now, you had a solid reason to give them away -- if the folks you gave your copies to ended up ordering the
Warriors membership, then you earned a nice commission.
Allen took an existing
idea and added unique benefits that no one else was offering. And those eBooks were, and are, distributed all
over the web because of it. The Warriors became the forerunner of all mega web marketing sites and those
customizable eBooks were a big part of the success.
Since we are talking
about affiliate programs, how about another example. The commission that most early affiliate programs offered
was 10-15% because they were offering tangible products like books that couldn't afford a large
commission.
When digital
products (I.E. eBooks) became a big seller online, commission structures changed dramatically. Most increased to
around 50%. Existing idea, new benefits. I'd say an increase from 10-15% to 50% is a benefit, wouldn't
you?
Of course, that can
be applied to just about anything. Setup joint ventures that have unique benefits. Products and services.
Newsletters. Websites. You can apply it to just about anything. Develop some kind of benefit that is exclusively
yours -- something that you offer that no one else offers, or at least not very many.
And you'll be well
on your way to success.
But, let's not stop
there. Here's another great way to create your own unique way of capitalizing on an existing
idea...

Strategy Two: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs Add Their Own
Unique Approach
2.4 Unique delivery. Why
not tap into an existing idea and offer it with a unique delivery. And what I mean by that is to offer the idea
in such a way that it is completely different than the way everyone else is offering it. I mean, it can be a
very similar offer as others, but still be uniquely yours.
I'll explain more
about that as we look at the three ways to offer unique delivery...
2.4.1 Package. The
idea is to take an existing idea and offer it in a new, original way. Let me give you a couple of quick
examples...
** QuickPayPro.There have been autoresponder services
around for a long time. Mailing lists services have been around equally as long. Affiliate tracking isn't a
new thing. Order forms aren't new. Popup windows? Nope. Automated order processing? Not new. All of these
services have been offered online for a long time now. Existing idea, right? So, what did QuickPayPro do?
These guys put all of the elements together into ONE PACKAGE that offers the ultimate service to automate
your web business.
They took an
existing idea and added their own approach and used a unique delivery. They offer the same type of services as
many other folks, but they offer it in a way that separates them from others because of its unique
delivery....it's unique package.
** Free To Sell. We've
covered this already. eBooks aren't new. But, what Tom Hua did with eBooks was new. He took an existing idea,
added his own unique approach and developed a unique delivery of the goods -- a COLLECTION of dozens of
eBooks in ONE PACKAGE.
Unique delivery can
be accomplished by packaging in a unique way. To continue on the eBook collection idea -- why not use the same
eBook collection, but develop your own name. Create your own unique sales letter, your unique name and your own
unique package. Let me give you a hint here: Don't list the titles of the eBooks that folks will be getting in
your package -- that's what everyone else does. Instead, create bulleted lists of benefits from the eBooks. Sell
the package, not the eBooks. Create a sales letter that focuses on the information inside the eBooks, not the
eBooks themselves. There's your unique package.
2.4.2 Format. Of
course, you can apply this unique delivery thinking to anything -- not just products. Let's look at another way
of creating unique delivery and that is in a unique format.
How about a unique
delivery of your newsletter? Is anyone doing an audio newsletter yet? Not many -- so, why not create an audio
version of your newsletter that can be downloaded and listened to? Same information, new format -- new
delivery.
How about your
affiliate program -- does anyone offer video training tutorials for their affiliates? Instead of offering your
affiliate training manual, why not SHOW your affiliates how to market your product? Again, you can take the
existing idea of affiliate marketing and inject your own unique approach into the mix for something totally new
and totally exciting.
So, you market an
affiliate product, do you? Why not setup a live chat with the owner of that product to sell more of it. You
advertise the event ahead of time and then promote your affiliate link before, during and after the live
chat.
Or, how about
setting up a teleseminar? There's a unique format. Instead of selling your eBook, why not record it as a
teleseminar and sell admission to the teleseminar. Have it recorded on CD and you've got yet another format
delivery.
Don't have your own product, then why not interview an expert "live" for a
teleseminar? What do you think Joel Christopher did in ? He offers information in a different format by
interviewingJimmy D. Brown.
I mean, you can come
up with idea after idea, if you just think about it. How can I offer something that already exists in a
completely new format, that is uniquely my own?
2.4.3 Style. Here's a biggie folks, so pay close attention. Unique delivery by using a unique
style. This is something that can be injected into everything you do online, simply because you can inject your
own personality, your own flair into everything you do.
There are a
gazillion newsletters online. And half a gazillion of them are related to web marketing and doing business
online. And I receive about a quarter gazillion of them. But, I only read 3 or 4 of them regularly. When I
receive Phil Wiley's ezine, I read it immediately. When Terry Dean's newsletter comes in, I take a look. When I
receive Anthony Stillwell's ezine, I lock eyeballs on it.
Now, ask me why? Go
ahead, ask me why I read these folks ezines among the fifty gazillion out there. Is it the information? Not
necessarily, although that is important too. But, I can get the information just about anywhere. I read their
ezines because of their STYLE. There's the reason. It's their style of sharing that I
enjoy.
Phil Wiley shares
bits and pieces -- little chunks of wisdom that I gobble up like I was eating a cheeseburger. Terry has very
informative, step-by-step, tutorial style articles that are easy to understand. Anthony provides a kind of
off-the-wall look at things from a different perspective that most folks don't convey. And I read them because
of their style.
Learn this right
now: you can separate yourself from your competition in everything you do because of your style, because of how
you inject your own personality and unique format into what you do.
What about affiliate
programs? How does style apply there? I'll tell you how. One of my favorite affiliate programs anywhere is the
one that Walter
Very, very few
affiliate programs offer ONGOING training. Most give you an affiliate link, a few banners and ads and they set
you loose. Another of my favorites, Jim Edwards, provides ongoing training in his affiliate program. His style
is to provide an affiliate marketing newsletter.
Jim provides
articles and ideas on how to promote his products for success. And he does this regularly. That's a different
style, and Jim Edwards is fast becoming one of the industry leaders in web marketing because of
it.
What about
information products? If you create them, how can you inject your own style? How about going against the norm
and write a REAL "How To" product? You see, most products tell you WHAT TO DO, but they don't tell you HOW TO DO
IT. That's why I am so adamant about giving you examples and real case studies so you can SEE IT IN ACTION when
I explain something to you.
Most folks don't do
that. They make you read between the lines and try to figure out the missing pieces yourself. So, your style
could be to create step-by-step products, create worksheets and checklists for your readers. Provide answers to
the most asked questions? Write a HOW TO and not a WHAT TO.
What about your
customer service? How can you inject your style in that? I'll tell you how I do it -- I answer all of my emails.
I get testimonials every week from folks who say they can't believe that a web marketing guru would actually
take the time to respond to them, because no one else does? There's a unique style -- take care of your
contacts.
The thing about
unique style is that you can use it in *literally* everything you do online. You can add your own unique way of
doing things to every possible part of your eBusiness.
And, I promise you,
it will show through. And you'll be rewarded for it.
OK -- you're getting
the idea now. But, let's explore one more angle that you can apply for REAL success...

Strategy Two: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs Add Their Own
Unique Approach
2.5 Unique incentives. The final idea for adding your own unique approach to an existing idea is to use
unique incentives. That is, you offer something MORE that other folks don't offer. You provide a bonus that
isn't available elsewhere, you make an exclusive offer, you create a benefit that can't be found anywhere
else.
You force folks to
come to you because they can't get it anywhere else in the world.
Now, that's a
powerful tool addition to an existing idea, isn't it?
How can you use
unique incentives in a practical way? Let's brainstorm some ideas again.
How about with your
newsletter? You want folks to join your list, but your list is just like a gazillion others -- by now, it
shouldn't be because you are going to inject your own unique style, right? But, how do you get more subscribers
by offering a unique incentive? How about finding an expert in your field and ask them 5-6 questions by email?
They provide you their answers, you turn it into a free eBook and offer it to anyone who joins your mailing
list. It's an exclusive interview with a known expert that can't be found anywhere else. You've suddenly used an
existing idea of building a newsletter list by adding your own unique approach of the exclusive eBook incentive.
See how this works in action?
What about affiliate
marketing? You're promoting an affiliate program, right? How can you use this concept to get more
sales?
Let me give you an
example from the real world. Suppose you are looking to purchase a new car and you visit several different
dealerships. All of them have the EXACT same car that you are interested in purchasing. All are priced at the
EXACT same price. Every factor is the same......except for one.
One of the
dealerships offers you an incentive. If you purchase the vehicle from him, he will throw in a year's supply of
gasoline!
Now I ask you, which
of the dealerships are you going to make your purchase from?
If you chose anyone
but the dealer offering the free gasoline...
...you probably
shouldn't be on the road driving! :-)
Obviously, with all
factors the same, you would want to make your purchase from the dealer who offered you MORE value for your
money.
Affiliate programs
are kind of like car dealerships - at least in one regard. Every affiliate in a particular program offers the
EXACT same product at the EXACT same price. All factors concerning the affiliate program are basically the same
for every affiliate. So, who's going to make the sale?
The one who offers
the added incentive, that's who!
So, what kinds of
unique incentives can you include? Here are some ideas to get you started...
Free ad space in your newsletter.
A solo mailing to your subscriber list.
A copy of a product that you have purchased reprint rights
to.
A copy of a high-quality eBook or report.
A service of some kind: proofreading, editing, graphic design,
webpage creation.
A free month of web hosting.
Personalized one-on-one consultation (if you are a qualified
expert).
An autoresponder course.
You can use unique
incentives to create your own unique approach to any existing idea that you can think of. Seriously, you can
apply it to list-building, product development, affiliate marketing, joint ventures, writing sales letters,
classified ads -- anything you can think of.

Strategy Three:
Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs Focus on Their Own Niche
Focus is the Key to Success
Focus is the Key to Success in Any business.
It's like magic because you become the expert automatically
Focus has always been my
problem with constant jumping from one thing to another. The problem is that I like everything and get
sidetracked by anything that looks pretty or has an LED in it. Cameras and Computers drive me crazy and I want
every one I see.
People who can focus in one
area or Niche they like or know lots about have an advantage. Stick to a small Niche for a while and you become
the expert in that area. If you are new to business online it's best to avoid jumping from one thing to another
because it will cause you to fail. No one will ever believe you can do it all.
So instead of wasting time with email ads promising the
moon,instead
focus on ONE niche you like where people spend money and ONE or TWO methods like Article Marketing to market
it.There is a narrow line between Niche and your focus on that Niche that automatically makes
you an Expert. Go under and the Niche is too small to make a profit. Go over and you
are no longer an Expert.
There is a narrow almost magic
area that makes you an expert. Suppose a man you met in a bar told you he was a Porsche Tune Up Specialist.
Would you believe him? It sounds reasonable doesn't it.
Now suppose that same man told
he knew everything about cars. Yea right bud, sure you do.
That's what a uniform says and
the reason they are used. Do you doubt for a minute that a guy driving a tow truck and wearing a nice clean
uniform with patches can help start your car? Or the guy wearing a master chef's uniform can prepare a nice
dinner? See, it's automatic as long as the chef doesn't try to start your car.
Most products that have to do
with making money online are great for learning how to set up your business, but putting the methods into use
and making money for yourself is another story. For example building websites the correct way can take years to
master and would be best left to others unless it's something you want to focus on.
Most or all information on
business online or making money can be found online for free. The only problem is with tons of junk everywhere
it's hard to separate the good information from the bad and you can spend years searching for the next big
thing.
Focus helps in that area also
because you learn so much about your Niche in a short time you will be imposable to fool. You will automatically
get the best deals because you know what they are and where to find them.
You can see how focusing on a
Niche would help for example when shopping yard sales for things to sell on eBay. You would know things about
your Niche at a glance that were a complete mystery to most people. "I'll give you five bucks Lady, for the
painting with the swirls in the sky."

making money with photography see my book Photo Cash Strategy athttp://www.photocashstrategy.com/ Click

So, there you have
the three simple keys that I GUARANTEE will lead you to
S-U-C-C-E-S-S if you apply them. Write them down, study them, memorize them -- but most importantly, put them into
practice...
Strategy One: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs "Borrow" Ideas From
Others
Strategy Two: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs Add Their Own Unique
Approach
Strategy Three: Incredibly Successful Netrepreneurs Focus and Stick to One
Niche
If you do those
three things, then you will be successful online. No question about it. I *challenge* you to prove me wrong. It
hasn't been done yet. And that's because these are universal strategies that every single success story has
applied.
And now it's your
turn.
